Positive Parenting in the Real World – We Know it’s HARD!
Based on the work and publications of Dr. Glenn Latham, who studied and lectured extensively on using the science of human behavior to positively impact the behavior of both parent and child, this workshop will touch on the highlights of his findings.
Parenting can be hard. It teaches you patience and is a labor of Love. Learn the simple and effective ways to change YOUR behavior and thus create an environment in which your children will behave well. Learn what TO do and what NOT to do. Avoid common parenting traps and create the loving home for which we all strive.
$25. MEMBER PRICE: $18.
Price includes up to TWO family members. That is, members from the same household. The price is the same whether one or two people attend. We set the price this way to encourage parents to both attend. We also encourage you to attend without children, but if two people attend, one can be on baby-duty. EVERY CHILD’S A GREAT CHILD: AN INTRODUCTION TO THE NURTURED HEART APPROACH
The Nurtured Heart Approach is based on the powerful notion of giving our best attention to what we adore in our children, to the wonderful things they do and are learning. Parents of children who are two years or older would find this approach encouraging. The approach has proven to be especially helpful with little kids (and big ones!) who are just plain difficult–you know, harder than others. Mary Dudley, PhD is certified as an Advanced Trainer in the Approach.
$50 or $85 per couple. Members: $45 or $80 per couple.
Please remember we consider the couples/family price to mean two people in the same household raising the same child/ren.
