OUR POLICIES
As a small business, pre-registrations really help us be most efficient and keep our costs and, therefore, prices lower. If you plan to attend a class, please register when you decide. If there are no pre-registrations, we give the instructor the option to cancel. Many instructors will teach if someone signs up.
We require pre-registration (by phone or here on-line), and appreciate 48 hours cancellation notice for all classes, workshops and gatherings. Pre-payment is required to hold your spot.
If WE must cancel a class (due to lack of registrants or teacher emergency), we will issue a check refund or class credit. If you do not give 48 hours cancellation notice, you will not be issued a refund or class credit. If you do give 48 hours notice, we will issue class credit for future classes.
You are always welcome to attend if you have not pre-registered! On occasion, a class is canceled due to lack of registrants, so we invite you to call ahead and be sure we are still holding the class. Some classes do require a minimum attendance to be held. We try to make this very clear and have you encourage others to join us in order to hold the class!
As a very small business, we cannot combine discounts in order for us to continue offering discounts at all.
Babies and Children at Class
Classes an hour in length are generally fine with children in attendance, as long as YOU, the parent and student, can get what you need to out of the class. Very young babies may easily sleep or nurse through that time. Mobile babies and toddlers are sometimes fine sitting on your lap for the entire class. But sometimes they want to explore the entire time! Almost all of our teachers are parents are used to kid noises and aren’t bothered by it. We DO need to worry about all those present and their ability to focus and learn, so we ask that you be aware of noise level and distractions and step out with your child if necessary. Overall, we leave it to your best judgment as to whether bringing your baby will work.
For classes over an hour long, we ask you to consider this even more carefully. Many adults have a hard time lasting through long classes. So put yourself in your child’s place! Most of our classes have same-household couples discounts and some are even priced so that a couple costs the same as an individual. In these cases one parent could be in charge of caring for the baby and the other can focus on class. In many classes, stepping out for just ten minutes with your unsettled little one could result in missing considerable material.
So while there is no hard and fast rule, we want YOU to get all you can out of your class. And, unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds if you need to leave mid-class.
Birth Class Policies
Please be aware that we limit class size in order to offer a more personalized experience for you. Be sure to reserve your space early to ensure availability.
If you need to cancel your space reservation in our classes, please let us know as soon as possible. In the event of a cancelation, half of the deposit will be returned when we receive notice at least fourteen days prior to the first class. When we receive a cancellation within fourteen days of
the first class, we will refund half of the deposit only if we are able to fill your space.
There will be no refunds made once the class has begun, even for medical or early labor issues.
We must have payment by the start of the first class. We can only take cash or check for split payments or payments made on the first day of class.
We ask for cash or check payment for birth classes. If you wish to pay by credit card for the class, there is an additional processing fee.
As a very small business, we cannot combine discounts in order for us to continue offering discounts at all. Medicaid discounts cannot be combined with membership discounts.
